A sty is an infection of the sebaceous glands on the base of eyelashes or eyelids that can be painful and annoying.
To cure sties and make them disappear, you can try several home remedies, all of them are based on applying heat in the area and this allows that the sty drains by itself.
A good remedy for sties consist in taking a copper or gold object, for example an old key, a ring or alliance, and rub it on a cloth until it burns (as hot as you can handle) and put the key or ring over the sty, you can also use a towel soaked in tepid water and put it over the sty.
A useful solution to cure sties is to put hot water in a normal glass and place the base of the glass (that will be hot for the water) over the sty, in this way heat lasts longer than when we use keys or rings. Remember that the glass can't have a stem (like wine glasses) because the base must be touching the hot water directly.
All of these procedures must be done several times a day (at least 4) until the sty disappear.
If you can't see any change, go to an ophthalmologist
Be careful: Never try to squeeze the sty and let it burst because the infection could spread all over the eye.
